Rainy Season

The rainy season in Mozambique is a time of joy, for now it is no longer “tempo de fome (time of hunger)”. This time of year brings new struggles  but the overall reward of finally having water after a long summer drought is well worth the reward. The rainy season not only brings life back to plants but most importantly to its people. Whether it be the young child jumping around in the rain,  the teenagers in search of streams to fish, or the elderly man working on his farm; the rainy season is a celebration of life.
